A thrilling finale is set for the carnival

THE torchlight procession is the grande finale – and one of the highpoints – Bridport Carnival.

This year it is on Sunday August 21.

The river of fire leaves the Town Hall at 9pm but people can buy their torches in Bucky Doo Square from 6.30pm onwards.

Up to 2,000 people will join in the walk from Bridport Town Hall to a bonfire at West Bay in this fantastic spectacle!

Then you can stay in West Bay and enjoy the bar and live band on the beach, followed by an amazing firework display at about 10.30pm.

A shuttle bus will be operating back to Bridport after the fireworks courtesy of the First Bus Company For details of all events please contact Shaun on 07836 516763.
